This gigantic Euphorbia Candlelabra and Agave were some of the fascinating plants a group of aspiring artists were surrounded by during a coloured pencil course lead by Ann Swan. This wonderful garden near the walled city of Taroudant, Morocco is full of species plants from arid and semi arid areas around the world and especially Madagascar.
It was so good to be in the company of other artists and to encourage each other in our attempt to capture these challenging plants. At this time of year the climate is gentle and the wandering peacocks and tortoises add an exotic atmosphere to this garden full of abundant plant life. Arriving back yesterday to 5 degrees, wind and rain was a bit of a reality check!
